Wanted: Potters

October 6, 2018 By Morgan

We just said ‘goodbye’ to Brian, one of our snow-bird potters who headed South for the winter.

We’ve got a wheel open and we’re looking for a production potter to join Betsy, Michele, Kylie, and Devin on out Studio Team.

We offer part-time (20 hrs) and full-time (35 hrs) roles, with flex schedules. One benefit is that you can use the Studio in off-time to make your own work. Other benefits include paid family leave, holidays off, relocation assistance, and more.

Take a peek inside our Studio:

Snow in April

April 4, 2018 By Morgan

Firing in April, Minnesota style!

We had 8″ of snow and it came in thru the kiln roof stack. Our ward burners had to be dug out.

Really? What time of year is it? #uffda ‬

Sure hope we have some spring flowers in time for our April Open House, April 21st and 22nd in the Gallery, that’s Earth Day weekend. And we have some green surprises in store for everyone!

January 21, 2017 By Morgan

Ever wonder what the gas kiln looks like?

At the Clay Coyote our emerging artists fire the potter twice. First in electric kilns and then a second time in our big gas kiln.

Here’s a short video of the team loading, pushing, and lighting her up!

Our electric kilns (Snap, Crackle, and Pop) made a shift to the south side of the Studio. They’re closer to the big gas kiln now.
