Special Exhibit: MN Pottery Festival Past & Present

March 17, 2019 By Morgan

Join us for a special two week pottery show in the Clay Coyote Gallery in partnership with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts’ (NCECA) 53rd annual conference, Claytopia!

This is a once-in-an-every-two-decade opportunity. And we are really excited to bring a part of it to Hutchinson and the Southwest region.

The concurrent exhibit will explore the story of the MN Pottery Festival and celebrate some of the past and present clay artists from across the United States who have been sharing their craft with rural
Southwest Minnesota since the festival began in 2012.

Featuring the work of Kerry Brooks, Reiko Cunningham-Uchytil, Karin Kraemer, Joe Frank McKee, Ernest Miller, Lee Persell, Nate Saunders, Mary Jo Schmith, Joey Sheehan, Zac Spates, and Tony Winchester. Curated by Morgan Baum

Our Exhibit is free and open to the public. All the pottery is for sale.

It’s running March 14th thru March 31st, during regular Gallery hours. We have an opening night reception from 5-8pm on March 14th and the official reception on Saturday, March 30th from 3-7pm.

Located in the Clay Coyote Gallery (17614 240th Street, Hutchinson, MN 55350; just 4.5 miles north on Highway 15, turn right at 240th Street, look for blue signs)
