Labor Day Cooking with Clay

August 30, 2017 By Kylie Lawson

Labor Day is just around the corner and you know what that means? Cookouts. Here’s what you need to make your Labor Day cookout the best on the block.

The first item you need is Clay Coyote’s ceramic grill basket. This handmade piece is sure to be the talk of your cookout. It’s made with a flameware clay and special glaze which allows it to be put onto direct heat. It’s just the right size for your grill leaving extra space to grill more goodies and to shut the lid when needed. It gives your fresh veggies, fish, and meat that savory, smoky grilled taste without getting burnt. It’s usable on all types of grills and with just a bit of oil, it will keep your food from sticking.

The next item you need is our vinegar crock. This ceramic crock is typically used for making your own vinegar. So why would you need this at your cookout? Because it can also be used to make teas, lemonades, and other beverages. Not only is it functional with a spigot at the bottom, but it is also a definite statement piece. It will sure catch your guests eyes and have them wanting one too.

The final item you need is our cazuela. It is a Spanish cooking piece, but can be used for other cuisines as well. It’s perfect for making warm dips, such as buffalo chicken dip, s’mores dip, spinach and artichoke dip, or chicken bacon ranch dip. Clay cookware retains heat very well and will keep your dip warm long after taking it out of the oven. Its size will allow you to make enough dip for all of your guests, but I’m sure they will be craving more and asking where you bought your piece. Don’t forget to tell them: Clay Coyote!
