Let it Shine! More Progress in the Gallery

June 22, 2016 By Morgan

Gallery lights, before

Today, we took a huge step forward toward reaching our goals to be a more energy efficient company. We replaced more than 120 halogen lights in the Gallery with twenty-four new LED lights.

When we first opened the Gallery in 2002, LED lights weren’t as widely available as they are today. The history of electric light is fascinating.

Morgan knows a little bit about it from all her years giving tours of the Consumer Reports Light Bulb Lab. To learn more about LEDs and other light bulbs, check out the Edison Tech Center’s website.

The team from Lite Electric out of Cokato, MN was great to work with … they even sang along with our Proclaimers playlist.

The change is instantaneous! The Gallery is cooler in temperature and warmer in lighting!

Come out to the Gallery and check out all of our recent improvements.

We’re open everyday:

  • Monday-Saturday from 10am – 5pm
  • Sunday from 12pm – 4pm

We’d be de-light-ed to show you around.
