Matthew Patton Ceramics

March 18, 2013 By Ann

We have been carrying Matthew Patton’s wonderful bowls, platters and tiles for many years at Clay Coyote.  From Matthew,” I am a professional ceramic artist located in Seattle, Washington.  My work is primarily decorative with a heavy emphasis on glaze effects.  I fire to 2,300 degrees F in an 80 cubic foot gas reduction kiln. Nearly all of my pottery is food, oven and microwave safe.  Each piece is handmade on the wheel or with slab construction in porcelain or stoneware.”

Seafoam Green

October 9, 2007 By Vivid Image

This post is for the readers of the ClayArt discussion group. This platter is glazed in Seafoam Green (turns out it’s a Coleman recipe). Lots of running. We’re going to try to tighten it up since you can get some great effects like putting some copper red over it.
