Coyote After Dark w/ Local Jeweler Janessa Markgraf

October 1, 2018 By Morgan

Kick off your weekend in Coyote style! This evening, you can try throwing a pot on the wheel for free.

We’ll be joined by our special guest, local jeweler Janessa Markgraf.  Janessa is a self taught jewelry design hobbyist. Her inspiration stems from traveling throughout central america, meeting and learning from other local artisans and absorbing the different aspects of culture. The wrap bracelets are made with genuine leather and double threaded by hand. A variety of gemstones are used including agate, jasper, China jade, obsidian, and lava stone to name a few. Earrings and rings are made from sterling silver and copper. Due to the handmade nature, every item is unique.

We’ll have complimentary fall-themed treats and beverages … mulled cider and/or wine you say?!?

AND try throwing a pot for free in our Studio with Morgan. You can’t keep it, but if it’s savable, we’ll fire it and glaze it and then donate it to the Hutchinson Empty Bowl to raise money to help the hungry.

April 5, 2018 By Morgan

Just days before the MN Garlic Festival come by the Clay Coyote to get the garlic party started! We’ll have garlic roasters, garlic graters, oil bottles, vinegar crocks, and other stinky delights!

Also, try throwing a pot for free in out Studio with Brian Smith. You can’t keep it, but if it’s savable we’ll fire it and glaze it and then donate it to the Hutchinson Empty Bowl to raise money to help the hungry.

While you’re here try some of our garlicky appetizers and wash them down with our complimentary beverages.

Don’t miss this stinky preview event … get your senses geared up for Saturday at the McLeod County Fair Grounds.

What is Coyote After Dark:

Once a month, the Clay Coyote stays open late. We have a free, fun event. There’s normally a theme. We have fun activities throughout the night. You can try throwing a pot for free; meet the artists and ask them about what they are working on; or you can enjoy a complimentary beverage and hors d’oeuvres. We hold these events on or around the full moon because the night sky over the prairie is spectacular and the full moon lights up the Clay Coyote.

June Coyote After Dark

April 5, 2018 By Morgan

We had so much fun with Emily from Succa for Plants in April that we’re bringing her back for everyone who missed her.

Join us for a night of planting and potting. Try your hand at the pottery wheel. And make a succulent planter to take home.

We’ll also be raising funds for the McLeod Relay for Life, you can make a luminary in memory or in honor of someone you love. Not feeling crafty? We’ll have other ways for you to make a contribution in support of this important cause.

Spend the evening enjoying complimentary plant-themed beverages and appetizers.
