Originally from Columbus, Ohio, but raised in Miami, Florida; Rollin Karg has taken a one-time hobby and turned it into a full time career.
Rollin studied hot glass at Emporia State University. During this time he built his first glass-blowing furnace. He originally came to Wichita, Kansas to attend Wichita State University on a football scholarship, but fell in love with the art of blowing glass.
He attributes his artistic inclination in part to a strong desire to work with his hands. Coupled with the inspirational tree and park-like location of his studio in Kechi, Kansas, it’s the perfect location for Rollin to create his fragile one-of-a-kind treasures. |
