THE GREAT 2008 MUG VOTE!

The four current mugs are 'flare', 'bulb', 'traditional', 'straight',

The new mugs are variations on the themes. 5 starts with a small bottom and flares into an outwardly curved shape. 6 is similar but starts small but flares dramatically all the way up with a slight curve. 7 is for tha 'artsy' crowd. I throw a basic mug, then use a rib to impress a coiled look. The last migh be called a 'barrel' shape. Small foot, then pushed out to a gently curved barrel shaped top.

I like #6 the absolute best. My second choice is torn between #7(the 'arty' one) and #1
My favorite from Best to worst...3,8,2,6,7,5,4,1...But in my opinion a clay mug is always better than anything else! :)~Nicole Grobe
I like #4 best of what is there, but my favorite shape would really be a slightly less indented #3
My favorites are in order: 2,3,4, because the smaller top with larger body seems to help keep me from spilling as much! I also like 8 - because it may fit in a car cup holder! The rest are all about equal.
Because I tend to spill things easily, I like the wider base mug. My favorites in order are 4, 2, 1, 3, 7, 8, 6, 5. I also liked the above comment about having a mug that would fit into a car cup holder - great idea!

My favorite of the old styles is No.3.
I vote to add no.7 to the new line up.
i like BIG mugs so the ones that hold the most i like best.
from the pictures it would look like 2, 4, 8, 5 would be best for me
I would have to stick with #1 for my favorite. I agree with #7 being an addition to the regular lineup. Artsy.
So, my order is: 1,4,7,6,3,5,2,8.
I like number 6. It looks the most comfy to drink out of. If I had to choose a second it would be 7.
I like #7 as I think the spiral lines would show off nicely glazed. (I'm a potter so have to consider this). I also like #3 but would add the spiral ribbed surface.

I sent one of each of the 4 originals to my sister-in-law for Christmas. It made a nice mixed set. My favorite of the new styles is 8. 7 as the alternate. I also would like to see a large latte mug. Sometimes 12 ounces just isn't enough.
These are my absolute favorite mugs, and for the new designs, I choose the ranking ordering of 6, 5, 7, and 8. Can't wait to have my first cup 'o' joe out of the new designs.

I love the #3 because it fits well into my hand (have several of them and LOVE them) Love the idea of 8 because will fir in a car cupholder!

Love all the new mugs! #8 is my favorite, in fact I will take one in yellow salt. Can't wait to see how it feels in my hand. It has a really nice look, can almost feel it! I like them in this order, 8,7,5,6.
I'd vote to add #7. My favorite is #4.
I like 2 & 4. I also think if you were to make one big enough, it would make a great coffee carafe. Put it on the coffee pot's hot plate and remove the rubber auto-drip stopper. Great replacement for those ugly glass carafes that come with the coffee pot. I would buy one for me and everyone I know.
